Biography
Hi y’all! I’m Dani, I was born right here in Kirikiriroa Hamilton but took a brief decade and a half break to grow up in the mighty Pukekohe before returning to study.
Some might say I am walking talking unpaid advertisement for theme parks, rollercoasters, Taylor Swift, and the colour pink. Creativity & I have always known each other, I grew up watching and learning from my mother who was always sewing, crafting, and diy-ing. I owe a lot to her. Once that creative spark was lit, it was game on! Starting with an elaborate 7th birthday party invitation made on PowerPoint, to design & photography in high school, all the way through to this final semester of my degree, I fell in love with design... and I’m still falling.
My degree path has been rather unconventional, taking a year’s hiatus to live in Orlando, Florida! There, I fulfilled a life-long dream of working at Walt Disney World, which was simply a masterclass in all fields of design- especially immersive- I mean the place is themed right the way down to the trashcans! It was an fascinating environment, getting to meet and learn from some incredible creative talents. Returning to my studies this year I was creatively fueled and ready to go with a capstone project idea bubbling away in my mind.
