I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, and web designer, who passionate about exploring and trying different new techniques within my design. I enjoy doing illustrations inside my designs and projects, which form into my personal style - as you can see I love doodling monsters and creatures for my illustrations, then use them to express aesthetics and tell stories within the design, to bring visual strikes to audiences. My studies at UoW really helps me to go to the next level in design, I'm proud and happy about the achievements I have done during these 3 years, I believe those experiences and skills I gained at UoW will help me with whatever I do in my future design career.
Project Description
My project is an interactive illustration book called DARKEN, which is designed for people who like having some moral and social discussions or enjoy illustration books, potentially around 18 - 28 years old. The book DARKEN is talking about a monster who named Darken, walks on the earth and experiences different kinds of social and moral issues inside the human world, to observe, and absorb the negative energy which generate through this process. This project aims to use different interactions for each of the topics which best describe that particular social or moral issue, to allow the audience to have an immersive experience when looking at the book, which let them have an awareness of the social and moral issues mentioned inside the book. I always think about inside current society and the current era, our moral awareness has been weakened, and we always choose to unsee the issues and problems around us. I create this project to select a few issues I think are important for us in daily life, and express them through the storyline and the experiences of the main character Darken, to make people think about these issues, even have some new opinions when finishing reading the book.
