Student Bio

Hello! I'm Tyler Lewis-Prayoorakong, from Huntly, and I have spent three years at the University of Waikato, and I am about to receive my Bachelor of Design with a major in Interface Design. I wasn't interested in design in high school, all I did was play sports and hang out with friends, but at the University of Waikato, I found a passion and a life I didn't know existed.

Design is everywhere, and the chance to be as creative as you want and the significance of what you do makes it a rewarding job that I want to have. I became fascinated with design after studying and doing projects like designing a mobile application or a website and going through the whole process, from thinking of the users to creating it. I didn't know what the true intention and meaning behind the design were, and I never thought much of it, but as I have spent three years studying and experiencing it, I have found what it is.

At Waikato, I have learned many different skills, and even though it wasn't easy at times, I am grateful for coming here and studying design, and I have no regrets about choosing this as a life path.

Project Description

Through my years at the University of Waikato, I have noticed that everyone is friendly and easy to talk to. But people who are new to the univesity or not social may not think that way. When they first enter university, many people are timid and more reserved as it is a new environment for them. This is especially the case for people who already don't have their own 'Bubble.'

Through the mobile application 'Bubble,' I have created an app that allows users to network, learn about new events, and socialise at the University Of Waikato. By creating an account and using 'Bubble, ' students will be able to have more fun during their school life, as well as become known with more people who may end up being good friends or a connection that could help them in the future.

Some students may find it hard to socialise or transition from high school to university, which is why 'Bubble' is here to help solve that problem. Assisting students to network with each other and learn about events in Waikato is all to help students who don't find it easy to do it by themselves. Features like messaging and a personal schedule are all there to help so they have the easiest and best time possible while using the app.
