Student Bio

Hello, I'm Renee Atutahi. Born and raised in Hamilton, New Zealand, and soon to be graduating from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Design majoring in communication design.

When going into the University, I wasn't always sure what I wanted to pursue. I've always had a creative mind, whether that was dancing on a stage or creating art. So I took the chance and delve into the world of design, and I am so glad I did. My time at the university has taught me so much about design and the industry and has definitely helped me build my passion for it. The developed skills and techniques the team at Waikato University have provided me with will forever resonate with me. I now have a diverse skill set in web design, print design, and much more.

Project Description

SHEILA is an online platform that provides individuals with help when facing those difficult decisions regarding their pregnancy. Women's reproductive rights are vital to a women's well-being; to be understood, heard and empowered is so important. Mending the bridge between the taboo of abortions and pregnancy will create an open community where all decisions are respected and normalised. Women deserve the option. Moved by the overturning of the Roe v. Wade abortion law, we feel for those in America and across the world who don't have the option. Women should feel heard and protected. SHEILA is there to support a woman's reproductive journey.
