Project Description
While keeping knives sharp can be a chore, many people enoy the ritual of traditional whetstone sharpening. Whetstones of various kinds have been the most common way of sharpening a blade for thousands of years, but the process can be tedious and messy, and there are no solutions that maintain the craftsmanship and precision of whetstone sharpening. The "Cutting Edge Sharpening System" is a fully contained whetstone sharpening solution that dispenses water onto the stone, as well as keeping that water confined within the system. This makes for a domesticated and streamlined whetstone sharpening experience. The system takes well less than one minute to prepare for use. During sharpening if the stone runs dry, a press of the bulb pump will dispense the perfect amount of water onto the stone to maintain the sharpening slurry. After sharpening is complete, the water reservoir can be emptied, base rinsed with clean water, spout disassembled, and the system is ready to be stored.
The Cutting Edge Sharpening System is designed for use just about anywhere. It is an especially ideal solution for those sharpening at home, when out hunting or fishing, or in the workshop, because it keeps the puddles of water and grit that whetstone sharpening usually creates contained.
