Hi! My name is James Brown and I will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Design majoring in Interface Design. Ever since I was young, I always loved drawing and being creative as well as playing around on computers.

Design allows me to express and explore my creativity, which I have endeavoured to do at the University of Waikato. This environment has created many opportunities and learning experiences throughout my years of studying. I’ve learned many aspects of design such as UI/UX, branding, motion graphics and so much more. I’ve also found that I’m really passionate about media and game design.

As time flows, the relationship between humanity and nature is constantly subjected to polarising discourses. ‘It Breathes’ is a short film that explores what happens to humanity in a post-modern dystopia setting. This project showcases some of the possible occurrences humans will encounter due to their negative effects on the world.

To promote ‘It Breathes’, my role within the group has been to create a website as well as posters and other promotional materials suitable for that of a film. I have also supplemented this work by using social media to promote my campaign. YouTube and Instagram will be used in unison, to share trailers and photos respectively.
