biography
Hiya, my name is Cameron Jagoe and I will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Media and minoring in Communication Design. I have been passionate about film and design since I was a wee lad and Waikato was the best place to pursue my dream as a cinematographer.
I have always loved cinematography and have viewed the camera as a third eye. Being able to capture moments and relive them is something that holds sentimental value in society. Pursuing a career in film has always been a lifelong dream of mine. During my time at Waikato I have been able to enhance my skills within the film industry and will eventually be seeing my name on the big screen thanks to the University and the opportunities I have been given.
project description
Our project ‘It Breathes’ is a short film about appreciating what is around you and being able to cope
with loss and struggles in our world. We tend to look past the things around us as a society and don’t
really appreciate what we see or hear throughout our daily lives. This film experiments with the idea of
that in a sense of, if you were the last Human on earth, how would you feel and would you become more
connected with your surroundings. We chose film because it’s a very broad media that you can take
advantage of to create something really beautiful if you know how to do it. Our audience is young teens
to adults and we chose this demographic because they would have a basic understanding of the concept and
ideas we are trying to convey within this project.
