BIOGRAPHY

Hi there! My name is Greshym Percy and I will soon be graduating with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Communication Design. I have been passionate about art and music since high school, and when I entered the design class in Year-13 I knew it was something I was meant to be a part of. With the University of Waikato being the most exciting, inviting and convenient place to complete my Degree.

Through high school, I never understood how a career in design would function and work within the real world, but I was always determined and hopeful to learn and become confident in both myself and the field of work that I am now accustomed to. The University of Waikato, has helped me blossom as a designer. I have been shown my strengths and also my weaknesses. I have learnt over the years that I have key knowledge of the fundamentals of Photoshop, Printed Design, Page Layout and Stylization, and Application UX Design.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Covid-19 has had a huge impact on both the planet and our country as well. This obstacle has shown us how to be more aware of the dangers of contamination in our daily lives. This is something food-related workers need to be very aware of in these uncertain times. Through my organization ‘Vitality Way’, we aim to improve customer safety around all food products sold out of kitchens and supermarkets across the country.

Vitality Way’s plan is to introduce an informative poster series to each food establishment across the country, which will inform workers of the many ways that food can become contaminated. This will help spread more awareness across the workplace about food safety hazards, hopefully resulting in less food waste and fewer sick customers.

Vitality Way is also in the process of creating other mediums to help support the brand, such as business cards and brochures.
