BIOGRAPHY

Hi there, I’m Emily and I will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Design, Majoring Media Design. I’ve loved the last three years getting to learn about my passion and teach students, passing on my knowledge to those around me.

I’ve always been a creative person ever since drawing on my bedroom walls as a kid. Gravitating towards creativity throughout my life and getting the chance to study two things that I’m most passionate about at Waikato has been a dream. Over the last three years I’ve been able to build skills in design and media and found a passion for motion graphics, branding and film making.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Fashion is used to express yourself without having to say anything. It holds such power for us to define who we are and as amazing and beautiful as it is there's a dark side to fashion.

The Dark Side of Fashion looks into the harms of the fast fashion industry and looks into sustainable alternatives. Surrounding three interviews with three ladies changing their involvement in the fast fashion industry; Sofia Harbottle, Taniesha Parker and Hazel Burroughs educate us on the horrors of the fashion industry and how we can change.

“As consumers we have so much power to change the world by just being careful in what we buy” - Emma Watson
