BIOGRAPHY

Hello! I am Adam Smart and I will soon graduate Waikato University with a Bachelor of Design majoring in Communication Design.

I originally had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and decided to give university a shot as the first year was free and I “forgot” to apply for an apprenticeship after high school. I had a decent amount of experience with using design programs and wanted to branch off into a creative field of work. During my time at Waikato I have picked up essential skills and gained extensive knowledge about the graphic design industry and what I can expect when I finally graduate. Waikato has allowed me to find a career path that I want to pursue and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

With modern thinking around natural medicines changing all the time, I felt this was the perfect time to create a campaign to discuss the potential benefits that natural medicines may have. This led me to the creation of my informational campaign, Natural Remedies. Through Natural Remedies, I created an information booklet and a short animation of all the posters that are included in the booklet. The booklet uses 5 different health issues that natural medicines may be able to help with and separates them into their own poster with a color and a character. Each poster presents specific information on how natural medicine targets the different health issues.
