Biography

“Every great design begins with an even better story” - Lorinda Mamo This describes me perfectly. My name is Veronika and I am a third-year undergraduate student from Germany. I came to New Zealand three years ago to start my own story. It’s been such an amazing journey so far.

I have learned incredible things throughout the last few years studying Graphic Design at the University of Waikato. I expanded my knowledge and skills getting taught by the best lectures in the last three years.

Creating something new and challenging aimed at our future is my passion which hopefully gets me a job like that.

Project Description

“When they are gone, when every last life has been stolen, how will you remember them? Extinction is forever." - Claire Deaton

Today, extinction is a significant global issue which should be taken more seriously by the population. My interactive poster shows the extinction caused by the way we abuse our world. The campaign represents animals who are threatened by extinction in Africa. People are responsible for the causes of species becoming extinct which is shown through the act of holding the animals in our hands.

My project can be used for any environmental campaign to show the causes that can bring about extinction. The images of the animals can change depending on which country runs the campaign.
