Project Description

Research shows high-performance athletes are at higher risk of illness due to exercise-induced immunosuppression. Eating fewer animal products reduces this risk. Not only is this better for their bodies, but it also reduces their carbon footprint (Fuhrman, 2010).

Grains is a mobile application informed by user experience research involving real high-performance athletes. Grains intended to assist them in managing their lifestyle and related sporting activities. Working alongside the athletes aided in pinpointing issues for the design to address. The resulting prototype has been refined through an agile development method, using Adobe XD and Proto io Software.

The Grains app has three main functions; meal planning, training input and ordering. These three functions are based on the issues highlighted during the research conducted at the beginning of the project.
