Hi, My name is Paige Wyatt & I am a soon to be graduate at Waikato University, with both freelancing & industry experience in design & marketing. I focus my design on visually communicating ideas & messages to a target market. I enjoy print, web & branding design however I have the ability to design for many other mediums. When I'm not stuck behind my MacBook Pro designing away I can be found adventuring the world by foot or by bike.

Project Description

We live in a society where stats are everywhere, on the TV, social platforms and in the media to name a few. But have you ever wondered how to interpret these stats? Or what these actually mean? Like for example all of the numbers you see on plastic pollution?

For my project I am developing a way to communicate these stats through a data visualisation system that will help the user understand the actual severity of the problem. The issue that I am focusing on for this is plastic pollution. To help understand the problem I am developing a webpage that depicts the data in a interactive way that adds a sense of scale and brings it back to something the user can relate to.
