There is beauty in everything. It’s our purpose as designers to help reveal its potential by exploring their visual language and visually communicate them to the world.
The purpose of this project is to allow the opportunity for children to tell their own story of the Maori legend "Maui and the Sun". Children interact with the story by using tangible objects to visually manipulate the story elements in a non-linear way. The abstraction of the figures still represents their significance through Māori visual language whilst maintaining the cultural integrity of the story using design methodologies.
